Legislative Scorecard for Kansas House Released

AFP issued its legislative scorecard on the just finished session of the Kansas Legislature. The ratings for the representatives could range from 100% to 0%. AFP rates each representative and senator on how he or she votes on issues that reflect a fiscally conservative, limited government philosophy.

In checking the issues that were selected as key votes, my voting record, had I been your representative in the last session, would have been 100%. This is in line with my belief that the money given to the state of Kansas is not the government's money but the peoples' money and should be used to do the business of the people. I also belief that government should be limited in what it can do; directed by the will of the people instead of the politicians. The current representative for District 22 received a 10% rating reflecting a tax and spend budget philosophy and a continued expansion of government power and intrusiveness.
