The Impact on Kansas Doctors From Healthcare "Reform"
More and more evidence is coming to light on how the changes to our health care will damage the quality of care and raise expenses to both doctors and to us.
A recent Kansas Liberty article suggests that Kansas doctors will "opt - out" and refuse to take Medicaid/Medicare or private insurance patients. They will change their practices to a strict pay as you go style business.
The Heritage Foundation cites a recent national survey of physicians conducted by Athena Health and Sermo, where 79 percent of physicians are less optimistic about the future of medicine, 66 percent indicated that they would consider dropping out of government health programs, and 53 percent would consider opting out of insurance altogether.
If that is the case, and the federal government is mandating that we have health care, I for one, am outraged. Why should I have to pay for something that I can't even use?
